Jason H. has sent me an update about getting your student visa here’s the updated information straight from the source.
*First of all, you need your I-20 or DS-2019 or whatever the document that the school you are going to attend will provide you.
*Once you receive your I-20, visit http://www.FMJfee.com . to pay your SEVIS fee.(probably an explanation note will be included in your I-20 package)
*Follow the instruction neatly at the website, and do not forget to print your receipt couple of pages
*an original receipt of your SEVIS fee will arrive by DHL within couple of days (important document)
*you will need a certificate of balance (잔고증명or평전) and copy of the same account’s bank note(통장 사본). both must show sufficient amount of money to support your estimated financial need as I-20 shows.
*http://korean.seoul.usembassy.gov/downloadable_forms2.html this link will be helpful
go to 주한미국대사관 website -> 비자업무 on the top menu -> 서류 다운로드 on the left -> and fill out DS-156, DS-157, DS-158. If there is anything ‘not applicable’ on the document write ‘NONE.’ if you leave it blank, you will need to write ‘NONE’ when you go to the embassy among loads of people.
*on the 주한미대사관 website, register your interview date, time and print the reservation paper.
*certificate of graduation, transcript (졸업증명서, 성적증명서) ..
*TOEFL, SAT score report
*go to 신한은행 for interview fee $100 say “im here for visa business” and they’ll take care of everything
*사업자 등록증 of your parent(s) (if applicable) (in my case, i did need them)
*US VISA photograph, 5cm x 5cm with no frame. you will need to attach this photo on your DS-156
so far, you will have;
-I-20,
-Passport,
-VISA interview reservation paper,
-SEVIS fee receipt,
-VISA interview fee receipt from 신한은행,
-DS-156,DS-157,DS-158 all filled out
-Certificate of bank balance
-copy of bank note
-transcript
-certificate of graduation
-TOEFL, SAT score report
-사업자등록증 of your parent(s) (if applicable)
TIPS: New U.S. immigration law limits arrival into the United States to begin your study to no more than 30days prior to the report date listed on your Form I-20 or Form DS-2019. Please be sure to plan accordingly! You should also carry original financial documents with your upon entry to the United States as prrof to support the funding listed on your Form I-20 (F-1 students) or Form DS-2019(J-1 studnets). You may be requested to show this by immigration officials at the port of entry..

From: DOSP Staff
Subject: Homework Policy
Due to lack of participation and responsibility from students, effective immediately we will be enforcing the following homework policy.
You must turn in homework for every class or the following procedures will be taken.
- The first infraction you do not turn in homework you will receive a warning from your teacher and/or counselor.
- The second infraction you do not turn in homework your parents will be called.
- The third infraction a parent, student, and counselor meeting will take place.

I get this question quite a bit, here is one source you can refer to get some more tips. A lot of these I’ve been stressing in class.
Life Hack: 10 Steps to Better Writing
Here is an outline of the post, but I strongly encourage that you go to their website and look at their information.
- Pace yourself
- Plan, than write
- Start in the middle
- Write crappy first drafts
- Don’t plagiarize
- Use directions wisely
- Avoid wikipedia
- Focus on communicating your purpose
- Proofread
- Conclude something
I hope you can continually improve your writing and perhaps in the future we’ll see you on the bestsellers list.

For all of you who have been curious about CEO compensation. You can find a lot of how they are specifically paid here at this website.
As for a brief quote, I thought the following was most interesting:
2006 CEO Compensation (millions)
The Top 10 CEO compensation packages of 2006 follow:
1. Steven P. Jobs, Apple - 646.60
2. Ray R Irani, Occidental Petroleum - 321.64
3. Barry Diller, IAC/InterActiveCorp - 295.14
4. William P Foley II, Fidelity National Finl - 179.56
5. Terry S Semel, Yahoo - 174.20
7. Angelo R Mozilo, Countrywide Financial - 141.98
8. Michael S Jeffries, Abercrombie & Fitch - 114.64
9. Kenneth D Lewis, Bank of America - 99.80
10. Henry C Duques, First Data - 98.21
I don’t know if it is fair or not, but that is just how the world seems to work. If you want to make that hundreds or tens of millions you need to read about how they got there- instead of just drooling about the dollar signs.
