If you are taking the AP exam at Daeil Foreign Language High School you should have received the following email from me. If you haven’t please contact me ASAP. For your convenience here is a copy of the letter attached.
Hello,
Thank you for registering for the Advanced Placement (AP) Exam at Daeil Foreign Language High School. My name is Paul Kang; I am the AP Coordinator at Daeil. In the event you have cancelled the exam please disregard this message.
This email will be in English, because this is an international exam taken in English. Please make sure you read through this email thoroughly as this is my only means to communicate with you for the time being.
A word of caution, if you do not have a strong command of English (both written and listening comprehension) the AP exam will be very difficult. If you do not follow the rules, disciplinary measures will be taken in accordance with College Board’s policies and procedures. Your exam(s) may be cancelled and fees not refunded.
Please check out the following website for more information about the AP exam:
http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/ap/about.html
Especially pay attention to: http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/ap/exday.html because if you do not follow these directions it may cause problems.
Note: Your student ID card is not acceptable. You must bring a valid passport for your photo identification, as people spell their Korean names differently.
Directions to Daeil Foreign Language High School can be found here: http://www.daeil.or.kr:3333/phonepass/p_map.jsp
If you did not receive an email from me please contact me via email as soon as possible.
If you have any questions in regards about the AP exams please contact College Board. If you have specific questions about Daeil being a test center, registration, and/or payment please feel free to contact me. In the case that you do need to contact me, please contact me yourself (not your parents, private institute instructors, consultants, etc…) and communicate with me in English.
Regards,
Paul Kang

If you want to find a way to learn vocabulary online check out this site. It’s developed by an impressive 17 year old.
Here’s what he says about it.
My mission for Quizlet is to make learning vocabulary not a chore. I know a lot of teachers assign vocabulary to students, but few students actually “absorb” words into their vocabularies after they take their test. Which kind of defeats the purpose, right? So Quizlet is my response - it aims to make learning fun, thus make learning effective. At the very least, it can help students do better on quizzes and tests even if they don’t fully “absorb” their words.

If you want to practice listening to college courses now here is a good resource that has them all.
What is Open Culture’s Mission?
Open Culture explores cultural and educational media (podcasts, videos, online courses, etc.) that’s freely available on the web, and that makes learning dynamic, productive, and fun.
We sift through all the media, highlight the good and jettison the bad, and centralize it in one place. Trust us, you’ll find engaging content here that will keep you learning and sharp. And you will find it much more efficiently than if you spend your time searching with Google, Yahoo or iTunes.

If you want a taste of what it is to take a college course please check out this site:
http://ocw.mit.edu/index.html
It’s Massachusett’s Institute of Technology’s (MIT) open coursware website. They have courses ranging from anthropology, biology, economics, computer science, and a whole lot more. It also includes courses from MIT’s business school, the Sloan School of management.
Here’s what they promise:
- Is a publication of MIT course materials
- Does not require any registration
- Is not a degree-granting or certificate-granting activity
- Does not provide access to MIT faculty
If you have a curiousity what it feels like to be in a college lecture this is the site to go to. Best of all it’s all free! Or rather “open.”
To actually receive a degree and talk to the faculty guess- you need to enroll at MIT.
